Ventilated FIBC Bags — Breathable Bulk Packaging

Mesh and vented-panel bulk bags engineered for products that need airflow — firewood, produce, agricultural goods, and any material that must breathe during storage and transport.

Airflow Where It Matters

Some products cannot be sealed in a standard woven bag. Firewood needs to dry, produce needs to breathe, and certain agricultural materials generate heat or moisture when enclosed. Ventilated FIBC bags solve this with open-mesh panels, perforated fabric, or strategic vent openings that allow continuous airflow while still containing the product securely. Our ventilated bags are UV-stabilized for extended outdoor storage and built with the same heavy-duty construction as our standard FIBC range.
  • Full mesh body or mesh side panels for maximum airflow

Common Applications

Firewood Packaging and Retail

Ventilated FIBC bags are the standard packaging for bulk firewood sold to retailers, campgrounds, and consumers. The mesh panels allow seasoned wood to continue drying and prevent moisture buildup and mould. UV stabilization means bags can sit in outdoor display areas for weeks without fabric degradation.

Produce and Root Vegetables

Potatoes, onions, carrots, and other root vegetables require ventilation to prevent condensation, rot, and heat buildup during storage and transit. Ventilated FIBC bags provide the airflow these products need while offering the carrying capacity and forklift-compatible handling that standard produce bags cannot match.

Agricultural Products and Drying

Harvested crops, compost, peat moss, and other agricultural materials often benefit from post-harvest airflow. Ventilated bags allow field-stored product to continue drying naturally while remaining contained and easily moved by forklift between storage and loading areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mesh bags use an open-weave fabric with visible gaps between the tape yarns, providing maximum airflow. Perforated bags use standard woven fabric with small holes punched at regular intervals, offering moderate ventilation while retaining finer particles. The right choice depends on your product size and how much airflow you need.

Ventilated bags are designed for coarse materials like firewood, produce, and large agricultural products. Fine materials like pellets or chips will sift through mesh openings. For products that need some airflow but are too fine for mesh, we offer perforated fabric with smaller apertures.

Our ventilated FIBC bags are rated from 500kg to 1,500kg safe working load depending on configuration. Mesh fabric has a lower tensile strength than solid woven fabric, so the maximum SWL is lower than our standard range. We will recommend the right construction for your product weight.

Printing is applied to the solid woven sections of the bag — typically the top and bottom panels, lifting loop area, or a dedicated label panel. Full-body printing is not possible on mesh panels. We can also add a sewn-in document pocket for product information or regulatory labels.
