Manufacturing & Quality Control

Every bag we supply is backed by certified manufacturing, multi-stage quality inspection, and independent testing — so you know what you’re getting before it arrives.

Manufacturing Process

Sackora is a sourcing and distribution partner, not a factory — which means we select and qualify manufacturing partners based on capability, certification, and quality track record rather than convenience. Our manufacturing base spans ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certified facilities with dedicated lines for woven polypropylene bags, FIBC bulk bags, and lumber wrap.

The production process for woven PP bags begins with virgin or recycled polypropylene resin, which is extruded into flat tape yarn and then woven into fabric on circular looms. Fabric weight (GSM) is controlled at this stage and verified against your specification before cutting, printing, lamination, and conversion into finished bags. Each step in the process follows documented work instructions tied to your order specification.

For custom printed orders, flexographic printing plates are produced from your approved artwork. Print runs are colour-checked against reference standards at line start and at regular intervals throughout production. Laminated bags receive PE or BOPP coating applied inline, with bond-strength tested per batch.

Quality Control

Quality control happens at three points in every order: in-process at the factory, pre-shipment inspection before containers are loaded, and on-arrival verification for stocked product at our distribution point.

In-Process QC. Our manufacturing partners conduct dimensional checks, GSM verification, seam strength testing, and print registration checks throughout production. Non-conforming product is quarantined and not packed.

Pre-Shipment Inspection. For container-load orders, a pre-shipment inspection is conducted against your approved sample and specification sheet. This covers: carton count and labelling, random bag sampling (minimum AQL 2.5), dimensional measurement, print quality assessment, and packaging integrity check. Inspection reports are provided with every shipment.

Incoming Verification. Stocked product at our Canada distribution point is subject to incoming inspection before it enters available inventory. Any lot that doesn't meet our specification is held and investigated before release.

Testing & Certification

Woven polypropylene packaging for food, agriculture, and chemical applications must meet specific performance and safety standards. Our manufacturing partners hold the following certifications relevant to the products we supply:

ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000. Food Safety Management Systems certification covering facilities that manufacture food-contact packaging, including flour bags, rice bags, and animal feed sacks. Certificates are available on request.

ISO 9001. Quality Management Systems certification covering all manufacturing facilities we work with, ensuring documented processes and continuous improvement obligations.

CFIA Compliance. Bags intended for food packaging in Canada are produced using materials compliant with Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) guidelines for food-contact plastics. Material declarations and compliance statements are available for regulated products.

Physical Testing. Bags are tested for tensile strength, elongation at break, seam strength, and top-load stacking performance. Test reports from accredited third-party laboratories are available for standard product lines.

Supply Chain

Our supply chain is built for reliability, not lowest-cost-at-any-risk. We maintain long-term relationships with a select group of qualified manufacturers, giving us production priority, consistent quality, and transparent lead times that we can confidently communicate to our customers.

Lead Times. Custom orders include manufacturing, quality inspection, and ocean freight. We factor in buffer time and communicate realistic door-to-door delivery windows at order confirmation rather than best-case estimates.

Logistics. Containers are palletized for freight optimization and delivered by our logistics partners to your facility, distribution centre, or port of choice. We handle customs clearance and provide all necessary import documentation including Certificates of Origin and Phytosanitary Certificates where required.
