Sackora delivers woven polypropylene packaging to customers across Canada and the continental United States — by the container load, pallet, or LTL shipment.
Sackora serves customers from coast to coast across Canada and throughout the continental United States. Based in Ontario, we have access to major freight lanes reaching every province and US state.
Canada. We deliver to all Canadian provinces. Transit times vary by destination and freight mode — contact us for an estimated delivery timeline based on your location.
United States. For US customers, we work with licensed customs brokers to handle cross-border documentation and duty classification. Delivery timelines depend on destination state and freight mode — we provide estimated arrival dates with every quote.
Direct Container Import. For high-volume customers whose order quantities justify a full container (typically 20– or 40-foot FCL), we can arrange direct delivery from our manufacturing partners to your facility or port of choice. This reduces handling and can improve lead times and per-unit costs for large programs.
Lead times vary depending on product type, order volume, and customization requirements. We provide a firm estimated delivery date with every order confirmation and keep you updated at key milestones throughout the process.
Standard Orders. Many of our popular products and configurations are available with shorter lead times. Contact our sales team to confirm current availability for the products you need.
Custom Production Orders. Custom orders — non-standard dimensions, custom printing, or specialty configurations — require production time at our manufacturing facilities, plus ocean transit and inland delivery. We communicate a detailed timeline at order confirmation so you can plan accordingly.
Freight Modes. We ship via LTL (less-than-truckload) for pallet quantities and FTL (full truckload) or container for large orders. We recommend the most cost-effective freight mode based on your order volume and required delivery date.
Woven polypropylene packaging is lightweight but bulky — which means freight efficiency is a significant lever on your landed cost per unit. We optimize every shipment to maximize bags per pallet and pallets per container.
Palletizing. Bags are packed in cartons or bales and palletized to standard North American pallet dimensions (48″ × 40″ / 1,219 × 1,016 mm). Pallet configuration is optimized by carton size to maximize pallet height within truck and container clearance limits, typically achieving 2.0–2.2 metres stacked height. All pallets are stretch-wrapped and where required, corner-boarded for protection.
Container Utilization. A 40-foot standard container loaded with woven PP bags typically carries 80,000–120,000 bags depending on bag size and carton configuration. We calculate optimal carton dimensions and packing patterns to maximize cubic utilization — every unoccupied cubic metre in a container is money left on the table. Container load plans are provided with every FCL shipment.
Consolidation. For customers whose volumes don’t justify a full container, we can consolidate your order with other freight in an LCL (less than container load) shipment. This maintains cost efficiency for mid-volume orders while avoiding the premium pricing of LTL all the way from Asia.
Volume Pricing. Higher volume orders benefit from better per-unit freight rates, both because of better container utilization and because we can negotiate volume-based carrier rates. If your annual volume exceeds 5–10 containers per year, speak with us about a blanket purchase agreement that locks in pricing and secures production capacity.
Sackora regularly ships to US customers and has established processes for smooth cross-border logistics. Woven polypropylene packaging is a straightforward import category under USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) with defined tariff classifications and straightforward duty treatment.
Customs Classification. Woven PP bags and FIBC bulk bags are classified under HTS Chapter 63 (Other Made-Up Textile Articles) for US customs purposes. Most woven polypropylene packaging qualifies for USMCA preferential tariff treatment when shipped from Canada, resulting in zero or reduced duty rates for qualifying goods. We provide the necessary documentation to support USMCA claims.
Documentation. Standard cross-border documentation we provide includes: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, Certificate of Origin (USMCA where applicable), and any product-specific certifications (food-contact compliance declarations, test reports) required by your customs broker or importer of record.
Customs Broker. US customers are responsible for import customs clearance and must have a licensed US customs broker or use a customs broker service. We work cooperatively with your customs broker to provide any additional documentation or clarification they require to clear your shipment. We can recommend brokers experienced with this product category if needed.
FDA Bioterrorism Act (Prior Notice). Shipments of food-contact packaging to the United States may require Prior Notice filing with the FDA. We advise US customers on this requirement and can assist with the necessary information for Prior Notice submission when ordering food-grade packaging.
