About Roman

Roman Fainshtein, Founder of Sackora

Roman Fainshtein founded Sackora as a Canadian corporation in 2007. He brings over 20 years of specialist expertise in woven polypropylene packaging — covering mill sourcing across Asia, specification for FIBC and PP woven applications, documentation and compliance support for food-contact and UN-rated bags, and end-to-end logistics for container-scale orders into Canadian and US destinations.

Roman's day-to-day work involves spec reviews for industrial buyers: evaluating fabric weight against bag contents and handling, matching UV package to yard dwell, deciding between laminated and unlaminated wrap for mixed kiln-dried and green lumber fleets, and sourcing the right mill documentation for a given buyer's compliance audit.

Areas of Expertise

  • Woven polypropylene bag sourcing — PP woven fabric selection (60–140 GSM), liner options, closure systems, custom print
  • FIBC bulk bag specification — safety factor selection (5:1 vs 6:1), static type classification (A/B/C/D), food-grade FIBC sourcing under FSSC 22000 facility requirements
  • Lumber wrap sourcing for Canadian export lanes — gsm/UV matching to route and yard dwell, tubular vs half sleeve vs flat roll selection, ISPM 15 scope clarification
  • Mill documentation and CoA/CoC procurement — sourcing from ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / FSSC 22000 / ISO 21898 certified overseas mills with per-order documentation
  • International logistics coordination — container-scale ocean freight, LCL consolidation, Canadian and US port delivery, factory-direct pricing

Background

Before founding Sackora, Roman spent more than a decade working across international industrial packaging sourcing and logistics — building the direct mill relationships and procurement discipline that Sackora's buyers now rely on.

Roman works directly with buyers on specification reviews and sourcing plans. For a spec consultation on an export lane, a new application, or a mixed-fleet sourcing problem, he can be reached at roman@sackora.com.
